Arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport Bangkok yesterday afternoon from Sydney, landing to hotel room (Three Sukhumvit Hotel) was two hours. Disembarked aircraft, short walk to health checkpoint, seated in a row chairs where a staff member checks you have all required paperwork and given a green ASQ / AHQ badge to wear, once checked you have your temperature checked, then queue up at health counter where your paperwork is checked and stamped. On your TM8 form they ask you to put your phone number on top of form and also ask you to write the cities in the question : Which Countries have you been in during the last 14 days., After the health counter you are directed to another seated area where they check your hotel confirmation and swap your green badge for a white one that states ASQ or AHQ and a number on it, once they have 10 people ready they escort that group to immigration section. Once at Immigration there is a row of table with immigration officers that check your paperwork first then off to normal immigration checkpoint for stamp in your passport, no fingerprint scan asked for. From immigration to baggage collection and then through customs who were stopping everyone and x-ray one piece of luggage per person ( I had three pieces, they randomly picked one piece ). Once past customs you are met by a group of ladies who identify you off your badge number, check you off there list and escort you to the hospital representative linked to your hotel or hospital who take you to van or bus and off to hotel or hospital you go. ( total time 45 minutes). Airport staff were great, very friendly and helpful. An overall smooth process without any hiccups, yes a lot of checks but can’t complain, have taken up to 90 minutes to get through before pre covid times. Great to be back in the Land of Smiles, will share hotel experience over the next two weeks, hope the above info helps some of you in your future arrivals here.
