I år var det ovanligt blött på Loy Krathong i Pattaya och folk kunde sjösätta sina krathonger på stadens gator, tunga regn hade gjort att vattnet stod mellan 20-50 cm högt på stadens gator.
Loy Krathong is a celebration of the water goddess and this year during the full moon on November 22, she certainly did her part for the occasion, dumping a torrential downpour on Pattaya that would float many a krathong. Most areas cleared within an hour after the water goddess had her fun.
Not ones to let a little rain ruin their fun, people let loose their boats of flowers, candles and incense on the water streaming down the sois.
