Ja, bygge lär bli problematiskt.
Antingen blir det dyrt med inhyrd byggledare e d - och då är det ändå inte säkert att det blir bra i alla fall
men om man bygger i egen regi, så finns problemet att västerlänningar får väl knappt ens vara byggledare (?). (Om det är sant, vilket det nog är, för lagen är hård mot västerlänningar gällande ganska många slags jobb, så fick en farang över 1 mille i böter bara för att han hade hjälpt till att lasta av lite byggmatrial!)

Is it illegal to mow your own lawn?
Can you clarify the law regarding gardening with a lawnmower and brush cutter? If I use these at my own residence, is it legal? A friend was arrested by police and made to pay a fine for doing his own gardening at his own residence using a lawnmower in late 2010. If it is legal and I am arrested, who can I call to rectify the matter and what is their number?

“Please ask the police who arrested your friend what the illegal act was. No lawn mower or brush cutter is illegal if a person is using it on their own land. There is also no special law forbidding foreigners from undertaking such activity.
In the case that you contact the police and they cannot tell you which law was broken, you can call and make a complaint with the GCC at 1111 ext 2. The line is open 24 hours a day and the service is free.
We will send the complaint to the Office of the Permanent Secretary to delegate responsibility to the proper department or division to work on it.
We cannot specify how long the process will take, as it depends on the case.
Another solution could be to take your complaint to the local police station.”

Kan du förtydliga lagen om trädgårdsarbete med en gräsklippare och röjsåg? Om jag använder dessa på min egen bostad, är det lagligt? En kompis greps av polisen och tvingas betala böter för att göra sina egna trädgården på egen bostad med hjälp av en gräsklippare i slutet av 2010. "Fråga polisen som arresterade din vän vad olaglig handling var. Inga gräsklippare eller röjsåg är olagligt om en person använder det på sin egen mark. Det finns heller ingen särskild lag som förbjuder utlänningar från företagets sådan verksamhet.
I det fall att du kontaktar polisen och de kan inte berätta vilket lag var bruten, kan du ringa och klaga med GCC på 1111 EXT 2. Linjen är öppen 24 timmar om dygnet och tjänsten är gratis.
Vi kommer att skicka klagomålet till kontoret för kanslichefen att delegera ansvar till rätt avdelning eller division att arbeta med den.
Vi kan inte ange hur lång tid processen tar, eftersom det beror på fallet.
En annan lösning kan vara att ta ditt klagomål till den lokala polisstationen. "
