The contract for a road bridge connecting mainland Krabi with Koh Lanta island will be signed next Monday, with the planned opening in 2029, Transport Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said.
Mr Phiphat said on Sunday the bridge would link Nua Khlong district in Krabi and Koh Lanta Noi in Koh Lanta district. Construction was due for completion in 2029.
