Chiang Mai International Airport operates 24/7 from today onward
Airports of Thailand (AOT) has announced that Chiang Mai International Airport is now operating 24 hours a day, starting from 1 November 2023 onward.
Previously, the airport operated from 06.00 to 24.00 hr. Thanks to the increased flight slots and more options in scheduling flights, the extended hours facilitate international flights with a departure time from Chiang Mai after midnight and an arrival time the following morning. The extension of the airport’s operating hours also helps facilitate travel to Thailand during the high season, including trips from Europe.
The number of international flights and passengers through Chiang Mai International Airport is estimated to increase by 30% in the last quarter of this year.
